Camp Invention Reviews

We signed up thinking my son would be super excited, especially because he usually loves anything where he gets to build or make stuff. But most days he came home and just shrugged and said it was “okay,” which is not exactly what you want to hear after paying for something like this.

Some of the activities sounded fun on paper, but according to him there was a lot of standing around and waiting, and not everyone really got a chance to do much. Like… isn’t the whole point for the kids to actually participate? He’s not the type to complain about everything either, so when he kept mentioning the same thing, I figured it was probably a real issue.

The staff seemed nice enough, so I’m not saying it was a total disaster or anything. But for the price, I expected way more excitement and engagement. By midweek he was already asking how many days were left, which pretty much told me all I needed to know

Really good teachers. Clear, patient, actually knew how to explain things. And when I got stuck, support was there quickly. Nothing complicated. Just helpful when I needed it...

I’ll admit, Camp Invention felt a little Pricey at first, but it ended up being worth it for our family. My kid learned a lot and came home Excited every single day, which pretty much sold me on it.

My kid had a really good time at Camp Invention and came home excited about the projects, so I’m glad we did it. The staff seemed nice enough, and the activities definitely kept the kids busy, which I appreciated.

That said, the communication was the part that made it feel more tiring than it needed to be. Some emails came late or didn’t have enough details, and drop-off/pick-up on the first day was kind of confusing. It did improve as the week went on, but by then I was already a little over having to double-check everything and figure it out as we went.

My kids did enjoy it overall, especially the hands-on STEM parts. It just felt a little rushed at times, not sure how to explain it, like some activities could’ve used a bit more breathing room. Still a good experience, just not totally smooth all the way through
